Page 1063 – One-Liner Lineup

Applejack’s line low-key represents one of my main anxieties about this new plotline. Discord’s challenging to write at first, and I’m discovering he’s fun once you get rolling and he bounces off the other characters… but the trick will be in how to keep that going in an interesting way.

Princess Celestia: You’ll never get away with this, Discord.

Discord: Celestia, please. I realize we’re both millennia old, but even you must know how old-fashioned that sound. Would anypony ELSE like to take a turn at NOT being boring and rote for a change?

Pinkie Pie: Your brand of chaos sounds totally weak. I bet I could do a way better job!

Discord: Oooh! Off to a good start. And… noted.

Twilight Sparkle: Call it chaos, call it godlike, it’s still magic. I can learn its secrets.

Discord: You made studying sound like a threat. Bravo.

Rarity: You stole the Elements… I’m going to steal them back.

Discord: Hmm… C+.

Applejack: Your schtick is gonna get old real fast.

Discord: Ohoho, you wound me!

Rainbow Dash: While this stupid banter is going on… I CHARGE AT HIM!

DM: Um… Athletics?

Rainbow Dash:

Discord GM: Was that your reasoning? Not a terrible idea, actually.<br/>
DM: The mural is enchanted. You pancake against it.<br/>
Discord GM: That said, no points for being utterly predictable.
