Description:
Page 250 – Apology Accepted250! The big quarter-of-a-thousand. Gotta say, I really like ending an arc on a milestone.
So that’s the end of Bridle Gossip. It’s been quite a ride. Unlike other arcs, there won’t be a guest comic break between this and the next story – it’ll be coming next week, pronto. After this, though… yeah, I’m probably going to need a break of some kind after this next arc. But that’s a ways off yet.
In any case, get ready for Swarm of the Century!
Transcript:
DM: “Dear Princess…” Oh, come on!</sigh>
Pinkie Pie: You want to make it up to me, right?
DM: She’s my character!
Pinkie Pie: I won’t feel better ‘til the boss sends a letter~!
DM:<sigh> “Dear Princess Celestia. Today I learned that you can’t always get what you want as a DM. Even if you have a cool sequence in mind…”
Applejack: Ah’m pretty sure you learned that the first session, sugarcube.
DM: Um… “Today I learned that outright manipulating your players is just plain wrong.”
Rarity: I wouldn’t say that so absolutely, dear. It’s the DM’s job to inspire and influence the players – you merely stand to be a little more subtle about it.
DM: Okay, okay… “Today I re-learned an old lesson about having respect for your players. A session driven by tricks and lies, even for the sake of a mystery, can be just tiring and demeaning for those involved. In the future, I should take more care in how I treat my players – with a little more honesty and a little less hand-holding. Your faithful DM…” Ugh, sorry, this is just too weird.
Pinkie Pie: Shoot! So close.
DM: Besides, you know what her response would probably be?
Princess Celestia: “Who are you, and what does this have to do with friendship?”
Applejack: And on THAT note, heh heh…
Twilight Sparkle: Shall we call it a night?
DM: Sounds good. Same time next week, everyone.
