Long ago, the families of the spirits she cared for gave offerings and thanks for her tireless work. These offerings filled her heart – but as traditions dwindled, a seed of desolation rooted in the mare’s heart. It grew, and so did her hunger, until the mare (driven by her new, ravenous appetite) turned on the souls she once tended to.
