This is probs my fav family in my nextgen if Im’a be real. Here’s some notes on em

• How Sonata made it to Equestria:    It was a dark night, all of canterlot was asleep yet something was bothering King Discord. He wandered the halls, feeling that something was going to happen and soon. Suddenly a burst of magical presence was felt in the lower levels of the castle. The mirror. Discord quickly teleported to the entrance to see none other than one of the Siren Sisters standing in front of him. She struggled to stand then looked up to see Equestria’s chaotic king staring at her. How had the reigning lord of chaos found her?? She bolted. Discord, amused, followed behind but didn’t a full effort to stop her. Sonata ran, as hard as she could, trying to remember the old castle’s layout except everything was so different how was she going to find the throne room? By chance of fate, she found the regal doors of the Princesses throne room and burst in to see Queen Luna standing in her way with Queen Celestia behind her. Sonata got what she wanted, an audience with the princesses except she didn’t expect all the spears and the raging night princess.     “What is Gaea’s name is going on here?” Celestia exclaimed as Sonata took a step forward.    “I..I have returned from the m…mirror realm and I wi..wished to speak to you.” Sonata sputtered out, casting a weary look at the smug draconequus to her side. Luna raised her head.    “Well? We’re listening.” She narrowed her eyes at the shivering Siren. Sonata gulped and stepped back, only to run into Discord making a ‘tsk’ sound.   “I have come here to.. um“    “Spit it out Siren!” Luna snapped    “I have come here to ask for forgiveness, my sisters have abandoned me and I want to know what true friendship is!” Sonata shouted and the whole room froze. Celestia stepped in front of her sister.    “ Sonata Dusk, second sister to Adagio Dazzle, it is very bold of you to storm into our kingdom and demand a second chance.. “ She stood tall in front of the now tearing up siren. She leaned down to make eye contact. “And for your bravery, you shall be rewarded.” she touched her forehead with her own. Sonata looked as though she’d seen a ghost. “I see by the scar on your chest that you three have faced certain failures. “ Sonata looked down. “I can tell by your face that your words ring true.” She lifted her head back up with her hoof and greeted Sonata’s tired eyes with a warm smile. “And I know that we all deserve a second chance when we’ve fallen.”

• After that night, Sonata was placed under strict surveillance for  short time, having discord place a magic repressor spell for the first few months. That was the best terms Celestia could offer to allow Sonata to roam Equestria freely. Luna was still irked at letting her off so easy but she had a lot of sympathy for the fellow reformed villain. Part of the deal as well was to assign Sonata a guide so that she could find her way around current Equestria. That guide came in the form of Steven Magnet, a close friend of Rarity, element of Generosity, who had a strong understanding of both Equestria and Seaquestria. He also had some of the same abilities of a Siren as Sea Serpents are similar in makeup. This was how the two met and it was close to love at first sight

• Sonata had a ROUGH time in the mirror verse, being the most compassionate of the Sirens left her feeling lonely and Adagio often snapped at her or bullied her into submission. Sonata had the final straw when Adagio blamed their gem shatterings on her and forced Sonata to leave her sisters. Sonata tried hard to reconnect with the canterlot high students but to no avail, they had already forgiven sunset but were not yet ready to forgive another. The only option she had left was Equestria, and with some spying, she found how to enter the portal and the rest is history.
