After saying their goodbyes to Swift, Nimble and Island at the end of the week, the two birds set off to return to Capricorn Reef. The ride back was full of chatter, recapping their time in Jamerca, as well as a little bit of chastising for Casey bringing home a full box of records… Once they were at the Reef and everything was unpacked, Casey mentioned not wanting to settle in completely just yet, saying he was going to give Midnight a call… It was safe to assume he was calling to say they were back safe, but to Rasta’s surprise, it was to see if Midnight was home. He was in Canterlot at the moment, and as soon as he found out, Casey wanted to make the trip there.
Making one last trip for the day they left for Canterlot. It was a little confusing as to why Casey wanted to at first, until he explained he’d rather tell Midnight in person about how the trip went and how Rasta and Island reconciled on better terms.
Midnight: …Ah…Well… I’m glad you got the chance to talk things out and you and her can hopefully start over again.
Casey: It made the whole trip a lot nicer, eheheh… And then it came up that she’d also like to talk to you at some point..
Midnight: Oh… Hmm… There’s a lot more fixin’ there… Sigh I don’t know about that one, mate.
Casey: I know there’s a lot of damage there, but… at least she’s willing to try, right?
Claudis: … He has a point…
Rasta: …You don’t have to forgive her right away, dad, but I guess, when you’re ready to at least give it a go, it can’t hurt for you two to….talk to each other.
Midnight: …Ye. Alright. When I feel more up ta it, I’ll have a talk.
Casey: Heheh, great! It’ll make things less awkward when the time comes for later on.
Midnight: ear perks Later…on?
Casey: waves his hand at Midnight Oh ya know, wedding and all! That way we can invite you both, hahahaha!
Claudis: ……. *looks at Midnight as if silently asking, “Does he even hear himself…?” *
Rasta: And then of course after a wedding, I’m sure foals will come up~
Midnight: whispered back to Claudis I think they are both clueless…
Casey: ear perks What was that?
Midnight: So… You want to get married?
Casey: At some point, yeah. Why?
Claudis: …. To Rasta..
Casey: Of course!
Claudis: …………….
Midnight: Who is standing right there…I’M standing right here… her father. The one you have to ask…
Casey: I know that, Midnight, I’m not bli- ………………………..POOF, HOO HOO!!!
Midnight: There it is…
Claudis: Took him long enough…
Rasta: goes quiet… face turning horribly red O-Oh…
Claudis: Did it seriously take you both this long to realise you basically told both Island and Midnight you have plans to get married and have children together….?
Casey: opens his mouth but only incoherent hoots escaped him until he cleared his throat Ahem! Uhm…….. It just……. Slipped the mind….? …….. Although, that being said… Do I have your blessing? looks at Midnight
Rasta: POOF Mmmmm!!
Midnight: Oh, crikey… Easy, Rasta…*looks at Casey* You’re a real piece a work ya know that? ….But yes…You have it.
Casey: fluffs up Thank you..
Claudis: stares between the two of them I say this with the most sincerity of my heart… You both have issues and need to talk…
Casey: No. we don’t. fluffs up more, glaring at Claudis
Claudis: Clearly you do…
Rasta: Mnnn… pulls her wings around her a bit, hiding
Midnight: Claudis is right. Ya two got some things ta talk about… one being ya future.
Casey: says nothing but turns to look at Rasta …….
Rasta:….I did want to ask you about something…
Casey: Y-yeah…?
Rasta: I…wanted to know if you wanted to live together…
