Description:
My very first attempt at a comic! Phew! This took a WHILE, but it was worth it!
After watching the episode “The Perfect Pear”, I discovered that it is definitely one of my favorite episodes of all time! With so many relatable and colorful characters, I felt so inspired that I decided to make a short little story. Like I said, it took quite a bit of time to make. The rough draft sketches alone took over an hour as I drew frame by frame (let’s just say I don’t think that I could ever be an animator… ever…)
I do hope you guys like it!
Story:
Shortly after the events of “The Perfect Pear”, Grand Pear found a place to settle near Sweet Apple Acres so that he could be closer to his grand foals. On one special day, Grand Pear decided to visit someone very special to him and sing a little song that he wrote a while back. (Ever wonder who Pear Butter learned to play the guitar from? My head canon is that it was her father) As his song plays over the hills, it attracts the attention of Applejack who was working not too far away. Just as Grand Pear is about to break down into tears, Applejack interrupts him and upon first sight, Grand Pear believes that his daughter has come back from the dead. But, clearing his sorrow-filled eyes, he sees his grandfilly Applejack standing next to him. She sits beside him, wondering what’s wrong, but as Grand Pear stares at her he cannot help but think of how much she looks like her mother. Without warning, he hugs her tightly and she returns the gesture. They then sit on that little hill where Applejack’s parents are buried and the family is reunited by blood again.
Let me know in the comments what you think! And let me know if you want me to do more comics! This was FUN!
(And a quick note: the reason why I drew Bright Mac without his hat was that I think Applejack’s hat belonged to him first. Yeah, there are a lot of MLP episodes where it shows that Applejack’s hat is nothing special, but I think that she keeps her father’s hat safe and bought/made replicas to keep him close without losing him)
