Just a bit more practice. This time I redrew Shining Armor from his in person introductory scene in “Canterlot Wedding”

I always kind of felt that Shining Armor’s anatomy was a bit strange, but it never really hit me just how weird his build is until I started trying to draw him. When I was drawing Bulk Bicepts I found myself scratching my head a lot trying to figure out how to make everything look right, but it was still a blast and I knew exactly whenever I got something. Meanwhile with Shining it was a bit of a chore as even when I got everything to match my references it never felt right.

It actually got to the point where I decided that I would be better off fudging his proportions slightly to try to make him look better, just because I really do feel that his base model is kind of just weird looking. Not much, but a little bit.

I think this turned out pretty good, though I still need a lot of practice.
