Iron Will: Hey, Som, come over here!

Sombra: …Why?

Iron Will: What? Do you not trust me?

Sombra: I… do but what is that thing in your… hands?

Iron Will: Ah, I’m glad you asked! For your viewing pleasure, I have ventured all the way home to get us this! [holds up camera]

Sombra: …

Ash: It’s a camcam, papa.

Sombra: [flinches] P-papa?

Fluttershy: Oh, yes! Ash has been wanting to spend time with you all day so Iron decided to take a picture.

Sombra: N-no, he called me… papa?

[Iron and Fluttershy exchange a look]

Iron Will: You tell him, honey. I might… overdo it.

Fluttershy: [smiles] I don’t think he minds though. S-Sombra, Ash has… grown very attached to you.

Sombra: [looks down at the colt snuggling up on his foreleg] Why? We barely talk.

Iron Will: He’s too young to talk that much anyway.

Fluttershy: Raising Ash has been… difficult for Iron and I. Even Twilight couldn’t fix- no, not fix… H-help with Ash the way you have.

Sombra: …It is nay her fault. Dark magic is hard to figure out, though she does seem to have a gift for it. A few years of study and she would have done what I-

Fluttershy: That’s not the point!

Sombra: …

Fluttershy: You managed to so something we have been struggling to do since he was just a baby. You hugged him without any pain. I’m not sure why but I think you helped him in ways Iron and I could never accomplish… [Tears form in her eyes]

[Iron, Sombra and Ash rush over to her, embracing the small mare.]

Fluttershy: I-I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that.

Sombra: I am not mad. Just…

Iron Will: Just?

Sombra: P-please refrain from doing that, my dear… I do not know what to do when you cry.

Iron Will: [pouts] How about me? Would you feel sad if I cried?

Sombra: Honestly, I’d be frightened if you cried. You are way too animated for me to deal with a crying Minotaur. [Iron Will burst out laughing, pulling all three ponies into a hug as he swung them around. Ash giggled, Fluttershy screamed and Sombra couldn’t help but chuckle]

Iron Will: There! [He rested them down on the floor, pointing the camera that had, at some point, gotten on a tripod.] Keep that smile for the picture!

Sombra: W-what!? Nay, I refuse!

Iron Will: Don’t be stubborn, Som.

Sombra: Nay.

Fluttershy: It’ll be quick?

Sombra: Nay.

Iron Will: Come on, Som, I need this. How else am I to show off how cute my mates are to the other Mino’s back home?

Sombra: I said, na- wait, what?!

Seriously, one day I will write a short story about these three, cause I love them!!!

Anyway, this is my first time drawing Sombra with his mates, Fluttershy and Iron. As stated somewhere else, Sombra, Fluttershy and Iron Will are a couple, living with their children in relative peace. Iron Will found Sombra half dead in the Frozen north during one of his tours and brought him home. As they nursed him back to health, the three of them got close. the deciding factor in whether or not to let him stay was when he inadvertently helped Fluttershy and Iron with their Acheron problem.

Ash’s mane and tail are literal fire. As such, he burns through a lot, including skin. While Ash is a happy colt, he can’t touch anyone or else he’d burn them. Despite that, Fluttershy and Iron try their best to be encouraging and affectionate though they always end up giving up half way after being burned. That’s why when Sombra used his limited magic to shield his mane and tail from burning and touched him without pain, Ash grew very attached to Sombra. The former dark King had no clue he’d done anything special.

Note: My Sombra is a bit different from others, I imagine. He’s has mellowed out after being blow the fuck out by love and light. He still acts like a king but generally goes along with Fluttershy’s orders. Iron is the only one willing to spoil him which embarrasses him to no end.

Also, Ash is about 3 or 4 here, so after this point he convinces himself that he must be a product of Sombra and Iron Will. He has no memory of the time before Sombra arrived.

Secondly: I gave them that table (I can’t recall the name but it’s Japaneses and I think it was something like a tokatsu or something) because I thought it would fit with the way Fluttershy’s cabin is decorated. I imagine she only pulls it out during the winter.
