Artist’s Description

*Infant*- Mako is part Orca-pony, part Earth pony. He has paws instead of hooves, because his mother (Earth pony) went under a transformation to make her aquatic, giving her webbed feet. Make was extremely smaller than usual orca pups, but his father Riptide knew he’d grow big and strong like the rest.

4-10: Mako was seperated from his parents when a group of sharks attacked him and his parents. Riptide was the first to fall, then Mako’s mother, Primrose. Mako, was wounded on his dorsal fin and tail, swimming away as fast as he could till he hit a beach, being discovered by a small dragon-pony named Lady, who’s unicorn mother, Crystal Clear took him in, performed a blood transfusion to save him, and he lived with them from then on, under protection of his new father, Claudis.

Growing up on dry land was very strange for Mako. Though his memory of his undersea life has been a blurr, as well as the very voices and faces of his birth parents, he had trouble adjusting. Every so often having to jump in a river or get splashed in the face with water to stay hydrated.

11- late 100: After Crystal passed away, Lady and Mako had to start providing more food and medicine. At night they’d sneak into neighboring villages and take what they could find. Every once and a while they’d get caught, and have to…. Take care of the situation with unwanted, but necessary violence. Mako hated himself for injuring ponies, but he has to live with it, knowing if he didn’t, he and Lady would be killed.

During a horrible storm, Mako was swepped far out to sea. Unable to properly locate where he was, he spent almost a month trying to find his way home. When he was near death, he was fished out of the water by a Salty Scottsman named Aleyn. Aleyn didn’t give a rats furry behind whether Mako was a seapony or not, unlike others who Mako meet in the past. Seeing how weak Mako was, Aleyn adopted him and took responsibility.

100- late 200: Mako’s time with Aleyn was very calm for the most part, not having to worry too much over ponies trying to hurt him. He learned how to properly care for a boat, how to fish (without jumping in the water) and earned his cutiemark for restoration of lost treasures and items. Unfortunately, he picked up a few bad habits.. he drank whiskey most of the time after a hard day of work, and took quite an interest into the many lovely mares around town. Course, Aleyn didn’t mind. He enjoyed banging pots and pans together the next morning when Mako was hungover.

Years later, Aleyn passed away from lung cancer. Mako was crushed… Once again he lost somepony he cared and lived very much.. after a while, he came to the realization that he’d have to leave his home. Ponies began to notice how little he aged, not seeming to go passed the appearance of 20. So, he took Aleyn’s boat (that Aleyn left him in his will) and sailed off.

200- early 500: Going through different time era’s was very exhausting. Mako never stayed in one area longer than he needed to. Many times, he attended colleges, learning about how to work engines, mainly. He was about to fix up the boat so it would be able to handle the ocean each time he left to start a new lifetime.

When the boat was on its last leg, Mako decided it was time to settle. He couldn’t travel forever. He set up on an island, building a house out of half of the boat so he always had a part of his old home with him. Afternoon some time, he was able to buy a new boat, making a living out of finding and selling restored items and fishing.

Nearing the age of 500 years (where we currently are) Mako started to feel that his time was running out. Being constantly reminded by his friend Margarite Mix that he can’t just mope about, waiting for his time to come. One day while searching for new items for his shop, a string wave swepped him onto the beach, meeting a lovely unicorn. XD
