Mulberry looks at the map that Antoine gives her, and comparing the two sees that There are two dots in the city hall, Two at the blacksmiths. Two at the Inn, three at the fishery, and one near her.
Mulberry ponders on what this could mean as she prepares for the day, making sure to store away her knife. She thinks she might head over to Antoine. Whether or not to confront the mayor now is something she’ll worry about later. Mulberry thinks of removing some of her layers in order to be quicker, but doesn’t think she could stand the indignity of it. Nonetheless, she removes her coat. Her undershirt won’t be too restrictive.
