Bio:

Spike the Dragon was hatched as an egg by the young unicorn, Twilight Sparkle, and raised by her as her number one assistant.  Years later, Twilight received her wings and became an alicorn princess and Spike grew his own wings not too long after, but some things never change.  He still helps her on a daily basis with multiple chores around her crystal castle in Ponyville and with some classes in the School of Friendship.  His scaly dragon skin is very durable and he’s now strong enough to lift heavier objects than when he was a baby dragon.  He also has the ability to magically transport scrolls for Twilight to Princess Celestia with his fire breath.  Having gotten used to having wings, Spike is an excellent flier despite his rotund physique.  He may have gained a lot of weight over the years (possibly due to his insatiable appetite for gemstones), but dragons are coldblooded which makes that perfectly normal.  Though he may seem a bit big and frightening at first glance, this large, lovable dragon is always here to lend a claw and be friends with anyone.

Spike is very close to Flurry Heart and she considers him her “uncle”.  With Flurry staying in Ponyville for a while, Spike has now taken on the role of her body guard and helper when she is out exploring Equestria and making new friends like Twilight once did.
