Description:
“I’ve long wondered about the role of a farrier in equestrian society. Given that they have doctors & cosmetic care, and that we’ve seen horseshoes, it seems reasonable that they should have dedicated hoof care specialists as well.
I think it’s safe to say that foals certainly wouldn’t be especially pleased about going to the farrier – no ‘It won’t hurt a bit’ pleas from their parents would stop their fears of a stranger using large nails to hammer large slabs of metal onto the bottom of their legs. Although, I have no idea at what age horses get fitted with shoes.”
