Night Glider's name and description from the MLP mobile game suggest her as someone who's very adept at stealthy flying, so to me making her the pilot of the Joe team's first stealth aircraft made sense.
And yes, the character she's cosplaying as shares a name with a Marvel superhero. It was even a bit of an inside joke in the G.I. Joe Marvel comics.
