During Rainboom's recovery from her youth and adulthood, she watched other pegasi learn to fly and enjoy the breeze in their manes and coats. She felt like an outsider at this point, from the best flyer in the academy to never flying again. During her adult years, walking from home to her work she'd always seen ponies zoom past her.
