Description:
Canterlot had fallen.
The few ponies who still held their free will couldn't deny the fact that they had no home in the city. Any idea of resistance was quashed when they saw the drooling strings of magical latex falling from the towering buildings. The heavy marches of boots filled the air as the black dressed ponies marched their way through the open streets, purely white eyes looking this way and that for targets that may have slipped through their rubber-clad fingers. Ranged weapons for some unknown purpose rested against their arms, pressed to the bicep at a militarized ready stance.
The number of escapees dwindled by the day. Their minds were erased under the endless rain of rubber, captivated by flashes of magic and light that drove away free thought. It took a bit of time for them to truly fall to their new place in life but six months had been a long time to draw them in. The uniform army of same continued to grow by the day, every clash and every fight turning into a growth of the powerful drone's eternal army. While a few of the Canterlot guard struggled to fight back the invaders from within, they grew weaker and less numerous by the day.
Fluttershy, or what remained of her, zipped through the sky and landed behind one fleeing filly. The one who had caused the fall of the city, the invasive sleeper agent, picked up her magi-tech blaster and unleashed a cyan beam of mind-erasure upon the female. It would be only a second before she could...
BLAM
F-710 sprawled to the ground as the power of the sun struck her down.
Behind her was Princess Celestia, clad in the golden raiment of the Solar Ruler. her face was etched with the effort of holding back the tide of mindless minions, exacerbated by the fact that she was the sole leader of her people. Luna and Twilight had vanished so long ago now, taken by these hordes. She assumed they had lost a battle. The truth would not be so kind to her.
Ziii-plunk. The attack from behind was stopped the moment Celestia turned around, her eyes narrowed in rage. A disk of pink energy had stopped a blast from claiming her for this wordless army, deflecting the energy into the ground where it gouged cherry-red rivets of heat. At least she knew her magic could stop such an attack. With her power, her rage, and her experience, she was confident she could save Equestria. She could save the world.
That burned away like a morning's mist when she saw the ebony shape of Luna and Twilight descending towards her. How could she fight her own sister and student?
The Empire didn't care. She would find out soon.
