Going to vent a little about some G5 vs G4 topics that keep popping up.

I know that G5 is coming under fire from some in the fandom, but just because the rest of us are carrying on with it doesn't mean we forgot G4 or believe that G5 is better and G4 should die. And c'mon, it's not bad, and we've gotten some great fan-made material out of it.

Every major fandom has this. A vast majority of Star Wars fans didn't scream rejections of the prequel trilogy; they simply accepted it wasn't meeting the exceptional expectations and worked with it. And honestly I think what we got out of G5 has better care and effort by comparison.

I don't even have a fav G5 character because none of them really hooked me that way yet. And yeah, I have some issues with the detail in how G5 content is handled by writers. But I'm not running around screaming that all good pony things are gone forever and give the middle wingtip to people trying to make the best of it. That behavior, I believe, is not beholden to any values presented by G4.

And it's a little horse cartoon show. All things considered, we're lucky to even have G5 as decent as it is overall.
