Description:
Mulberry wonders how in the world “Need-Death-Knowledge” would create such a terrible thing like the clawed monster now chasing her up the stairs. She looks for a way to shut the monster in the basement, but there is no door on the staircase, the nearest one being up top in the storage room probably.
She wishes that she could carve runes quickly, if she could the mare could easily trap the monster down there. However since it takes at a minimum of around ten minutes to carve them that probably won’t work out. She sort of wish she still had her protection rope, but she left it at the front of the college door to keep the guards who may be outside from coming in.
She reaches the storage room, and wonders if she should go through the sliding door or down back into the kitchen.
