As he watched his family slowly grow old and pass on, Philia was shattered. He cursed his mother’s immortal blood as the love drained from him, just as life drained from his spouses and young. With nopony to turn to, Philia turned to the one thing an unreformed changeling knew best: evil. With Queens Celestia and Luna having stepped down, he set his targets on Queen Chrysalis. After a fierce battle, the Queen was defeated once and for all. With nopony to restrain him, Philia singlehoofedly produced his own hive, bigger and stronger than Chrysalis’ ever was. Along the way, he met a young dragon who, like him, had watched her own family perish from age and mortality. She became his bodyguard, but more importantly, they were each other’s only companion.

Now, the evil King has his sights set on the Crown of Equestria, held by a once dear family member. Will Queen Firefly be able to bring her brother back and help him see the error of his ways? Or will this end in tragedy?
