Hi, I wanted to try pyrography for a long time. This is now my very first attempt. I hope you like it.

<ins>About the pyrography</ins>

It was as much fun to burn wood by hand as to engrave wood with a laser cutter

(My laser cutter gallery). But as suspected it the overall workload with pyrography

much higher. It took around 5 hours (In comparison a same sized laser engraving

takes 20 min). The tool was not optimal (I only had access to a soldering station

with a chisel-shaped soldering tip), but I am satisfied with the result. Maybe I will

invest in a pyrography kit for the next projects of this kind.

<ins>About the picture</ins>

This picture was an entry to the 36th art of the month competition form Bronies.de

(The German my little pony forum). The prompt was: ”Imagine the character you draw

meets a doppelganger. What would the reactions be? What would the characters do?”

( Link to the competition ). I decided to use a Vector from MrKat7214 which shows

a Gen 4 and a Pony Life Pinkie Pie because I did not had enough time left to draw some-

thing on my own. Pony Life is an announced mini-series to come out between mlp Gen 4

and Gen 5 ( Link to announcement video ).
