Oki, actually always liked the concept of this flesh eating horse race from myths, only saddened by how rarely I’ve ever seen people actually explore it. Just as I’ve never worked up good ideas to use the concept myself too.

Though… I’ve always been looking for an excuse for Atjour Service here to actually canonly have fangs.

When I first started to use Atjour here on Butter’s blog, I often drew her with a huge, evil grin filled with fangs. But every time people commented on it, I had to point out it was merely an artistic metaphor to cartoonily show her predatory nature towards those she enjoy to intimidate. But being a Canterlot earth pony, I had no excuse to why she would have actual fangs, though it would look cool on her, so it had to stay a symbolic artistic choice, but not reality. Sadly.

Maybe… just maybe, there is something more to her heritage. It could explain a few quirks running in her family. Though her walking around with full on chompers like these, would be hard to keep discreet and gotta look proper in her line of work. So instead… maybe her own quirk is when she intimidates her prey, they sense her inner predator so strongly they’ll hallucinate her to have traits to make her look more like the predator they get a sense of her being? Maybe, maybe not. Then again, she did suffer a horrible overbite in her youth and lots of braces to fix her teeth to look more normal.. who to say the overbite was the only issue..? Oh well.

Still hecking fun drawing her with such chompers. Fun fact: In some RP’s she dare to try, and enjoy, meat in her diet. Chompers or no chompers. Even cannibalism for funzies. Given the right circumstance, she totes would.
