Description:
After what went down at the final Battle of the Bands concert and the loss of their magic, the Sirens decided to part ways after a few stressful months trying to keep it together. They were all technically of legal age and didn’t have to attend school, but they did not have any social security, so it was very hard for any of them to get a job. Especially when the only thing that they really knew that they were good at was singing. Now that it seemed that they were without a tune to their name, they had to look for another job.
Aria Blaze managed to find work as a librarian by impressing them with her knowledge of mythology, and began renting a little apartment nearby with a terrace. She decided to sell her hair for the bit of money that it gave her, and began trimming it short because she had little time to think about her looks anymore, so the badass clothes went out the window for something a little less eye-catching.
Sonata Dusk began working at a Taco Bell under the table, one because she really liked the food there, and two because it seemed like the only place that would pay her, albeit under minimum wage. She rented out a small basement-like one bedroom apartment and slept most days. She shed most of her clothes for something more sweet and innocent to avoid being accused of illegal activities.
One day the two met by accident when Sonata was manning the Drive-In and Aria was ordering. The two awkwardly didn’t know how to handle seeing each other again, but Sonata slipped her number into the bag before Aria drove off. At first, Aria didn’t call, but after a few months she finally broke down and began attentively talking to Sonata once more. Eventually they began seeing each other in person, unsure what to call each other. Slowly they grew into friends, and hesitantly into something a bit more.
Eventually the two pooled their funds and bought a bigger apartment in the middle of where their work was, so they didn’t have to travel very far. They didn’t exactly call each other girlfriends, but they were close enough to sleep in the same bed. Sonata met a man who was ordained to marry couples, and got him drunk before getting Aria over to get it over with. Even though they were only getting married in the living room of their apartment, it was very special to them.
A few years passed, and Sonata was practically begging to have a child, even though Aria had said they could probably buy a puppy or something. The two had saved their shattered gems from the concert, and felt the last sparks of magic from within them. With the bits of magic combined, they were able to make Sonata pregnant. It was an awkward and worrying pregnancy, which they were not sure would last, but after nine months, Sonata gave birth to a little girl.
This little girl was named Andante Nightfall, and seemed to be a lot like Aria before the events at the concert. She was crude and sarcastic, but warm-hearted like Sonata. Despite her parents being unable to hold a tune if it meant their lives, Andante had a beautiful voice that could drive any man to tears, although she hardly used it because she hated the stricken look on her mothers faces when she sang. Soon Andante will have to go to school, Canterlot High, but she doesn’t know how well received she’ll be.
