Description:
“Inspired mainly by the version of Scratch from Baron-Engels’ dreamscape, where she’s a very steampunkish musician who plays what sounds like a mashup of Florence + The Machine and Igor Stravinsky. I started picturing all the weird experimental instruments she could be playing.
Upper left corner: a calliope basically it’s a steam driven organ used mainly on riverboats and circuses to attract attention and was reportedly loud enough to deafen the musician over time.
Upper right and center: several intonamuori, a “musical” instrument invented by Luigi Russolo, intended to make noises of different flavours.
Lower right corner: a hydraulophone , an instrument you probably shouldn’t play unless you are prepared to get wet.”
