They asked me to make a dark fantasy version of Starlight Glimmr(and to do it in my sonic style) so I did the obvious thing and made her a mage. I imagine that her story in this universe being a dark magic user after her friend died(because it's DARK fantasy) and would turn her life around after meeting Twilight and realizing that she didn't have to try to replace Sunburst by controlling others.

While she can still use dark magic like mind/emotion manipulation and draining others of their magic, she now uses light magic much more. She even teaches young mages how to use their magic responsibly.
