For a long time I've been wanting to draw Rainbow Dash as Angus McFife of Gloryhammer. But then some idiot decided to fire the very iconic lead singer of the band (Thomas Winkler, who was Angus McFife for three albums) and he went off to form his own band. "Glory left my hammer" indeed.

One could make the argument that the costume itself is still the character, regardless of whoever is wearing it. But when it comes to a singer it is not the costume: it is the voice. When they lost the voice of Thomas Winkler, they lost Angus McFife. The new guy is good, but to my ears he will never be the legendary space hero of dundee who sacrificed himself in the volcanic fire and was reborn in the realm of martyrs.

Or maybe I just need to go touch some grass. Whatever. Rainbow Dash still looks good in Angus McSix's gold armor with Sixcaliber.
