okay, never drawn griffons before, and i hate drawing birds.

Sefarina was raised by ponies, and grew up to be very kind and gentle. Her parents believed she was kidnapped as a kit/egg. They eventually found her, and brought her home to the Griffon Kingdom, a place much different than she was used to. The hostile valley her parents lived in was cruel to her, introducing her to the way of life that a small population of griffons still cling to, as opposed to another small population who have changed their ways based on the influence of ponies, and the larger population that is wary of the new and the old, although civilized.
Sefarina had to quickly adjust the best she could to their savage ways. They would all separately fish from the gorge, and often had their fish stolen from them by other griffons. Her family always returned to their cave with fresh wounds from territorial fights and food fights. Her father was very brutal, and often punished her, and her mother, although cruel, tried to protect her from her father, claiming that she still thought like a pony, and would soon think like a griffon.
After a year living with her real family, male griffons tried courting with her, in a way that she didn't understand. They presented her with food, which only confused her as to what they were doing, as every griffon in the valley was selfish and would steal from each other.
Sefarina's stay didn't last long afterwards. She fell prey to the large creatures lurking under the waters' surface, and it dragged her down, permanently damaging one of her hind legs. Much to everyone's surprise, a young griffon willingly dived into the water to save her, a griffon that had tried courting her unsuccessfully on several attempts. With him, she managed to swim back to land, although she would forever walk with an unsteady limp. Unfortunately, she never saw him surface, and believed him to be gone. After the incident, she decided to return to Equestria, where there was love and peace, unaware of the more civilized populations of griffons in the kingdom. She traveled among several cities for a while, taking her time to heal and grow up, back with the ponies she grew up with.
Recently, she decided to head out on her own, and start her new life, although lonely without any other griffons to be with. She's set off for Canterlot, although she's not sure what to look for.
