Starscream, Elita, Windblade, and Chromia are in the Everfree Forest, doing whatever and then somepony else catches up to them, setting them off guard. You might think it's weird that a bad guy is with three good guys, but in the Transformers IDW Comics, Starscream forms a council, as well as the others and Windblade is among the ranks, but also, Starscream interacts with them. But that doesn't mean they're good friends, even in the world of Equestria, Strascream weirds Windblade out, Chromia and Elita have suspicions. They're frenemies basically.
