I’ve been meaning to do this for a while after I uploaded my cadence headcannon so heres her moms! The pony is Princess Amour’s daughter Love Letter and her changeling wife Rosy Maple. Rosy didn’t live very long after cadence was born as she was already too starved and unfortunately nothing could have helped her. She fleed her hive to fall in love with Letter a crystal pony who had the heart of every suitor she came across. Love was never really interested in them though and knew her soulmate was out there. They lived pretty happily until Cadence was about 2 when Rosy’s weak body caught up with her and she passed away. Love, desperate to let her child have a stable home life brought her young daughter to her aunt Celestia. Cadence was given over to Celestia to raise as her niece on the condition that Letter, who abandoned pony kind and her duty as the crystal princess, relinquish her and not act as the young crystal heirs mother. Cadence’s true half changeling form was sealed away with powerful alicorn magic and an alicorn form was given to her. Love Letter worked in the palace for the rest of Cadence’s childhood as a maid and always looked and cared for her from afar making sure she knew her precious daughter and her only reminder of her love Rosy was adored and loved as she deserved.
