If it wasn’t obvious by the weird name of this one, “I” was the hardest letter to find a mythical creature for. Imoogi and Imps either did not fit in the MLP world or were too much like another creature in the story. When I discovered this Mesoamerican monster was related and at times even believed to be the infamous chupacabra, which had been seen in the comics, I jumped on board, mostly because I loved the design of the monster in it’s  comic appearance. Strangely enough despite Celestia stating how hard the name is to say in the book, if you say it enough it isn’t too hard to get down, just a mouthful.
