Description:
I dug up a program (Fractalizer V2.0) from the depths of my old external harddrive. If there are cube ponies and minimalistic pixel-coded blop ponies, then there also shall be fractal ponies. This is my attempt at representing Rainbow Dash.
Actually I was inspired by one of my old projects from 2008. That old picture just gave me a strong vibe of Rainbow Dash but needing some fine-tuning.
• For starters, I changed the resolution from 1024×768 to 1920×1080.
• The picture got recentred.
• Two colours got removed, from 8 down to 6, representing Dash’s mane/tail colours which are less aggressive to the eye.
• The core colour got changed from black to Rainbow’s coat colour, as seen in the centre at the end of the tunnel.
• Fine steps got reduced from 50 to 12, again, more appealing to the eye. 12 because “Rainbow Dash” is 12 characters and it gave a nice result.
• Colours are backwards now, so it looks more like going into the tunnel rather than backing out from it.
Supersampling Antialiasing (SSAA) stayed at 10×10 pixels and apparently the zoom level is rather deep because the computing time was a whopping:
In my imagination/interpretation the viewer is looking straight at Rainbow Dash’s rear after she performed/started a sonic rainboom. Giving the feeling of being sucked into the path that looks like a tunnel while the many veins remind of electricity and her cutie mark which contains a lightning.
