Description:

“Seeeeensational! OW!”

Sapphire Shores, the queen of pop, began as a humble pony from Caneighda. Working a small mom and pop shop with her parents, though always believed there was more in life for her. She dreamed of becoming a big star like those on albums and stuff! She wanted everyone to enjoy music like she had! Through her own songs of course.

Her parents were very supportive of their little filly’s dreams. They would always do their best to pitch in whatever money they could scrap up and buy her a sparkly dress to perform in for class or recitals. Sapphire’s parents weren’t always the most well endowed when it came to expenses. A small shop like the one they had could only get so far after all. But they would always spoil their little girl with what they could.

Although her parents always seemed to put forward effort to help their little girl go as far as she could with her dream, Sapphire didn’t tend to notice these things all that much. After all, how was she supposed to know how money worked? All she knew was that she just ended up with stuff sometimes. Though, in the eyes of young Sapphire, this wasn’t enough. Why couldn’t she get the big bright dresses that big celebrity ponies had? why couldn’t she get the same snacks and stuff the other foals in her class got for lunch? Bigger was better right? So why couldn’t she have that?

Well, after a bit of a stern talking to by Papa Shores, young Sapphire gt a brief lesson in humility. Not everything was going to appear in her lap when she wanted it. Sometimes it took a while for you to earn that one thing you want. And although the little filly didn’t quite get it at first, slowly but surely she would begin to understand the lesson her father once told her. Through practicing singing while working on homework, making little songs of her own in her free time, and work her tail off when she eventually got a part-time job of her own, she was determined to make her dream a reality.

And one day, that dream finally seemed to peak over the horizon. When she had met a few ponies willing to give her a chance, and through the support of her parents and friends backing her up, she was able to land a small gig that would soon give her the chance of a lifetime. After the initial small response she had gotten from the first viewing, she soon caught the attention of more and more ponies. A small spark fanning into a flame much larger than anticipated.

Soon the mare was headed off to tour after tour. The young start up now and adult and hitting the scene harder than ever expected, she was now about to face a challenge her family and friends also weren’t anticipating. She was offered a chance to tour over Equestria. a farther place from her home town in Caneighda. Away from her friends and family… It was a large step but one that her parents insisted on her taking. They had expressed that all their lives of seeing their little foal grow up, all Sapphire wanted in the whole world was to become a sensation. Showing ponies the utter joy she felt when listening to music, and Celestia-dammit, they couldn’t live to see their baby girl stuck at home and miss an opportunity like this because of them.

And so, Sapphire was off to a new, far away place to become someone she had only dreamt of becoming. It was new and exciting, but scary all at the same time. This made her feel like a kid again, getting lost in the grocery store, not seeing her parents anywhere. It was strange… but… nice. It was freeing in a way. She had started to make friends, She had started to understand how fame could stress out a pony. make them anxious and wish to escape it all. But… All she could remember was what her parents had said about her dreams as a kid. She had finally made it. She was damn well going to express her love of her dream to the world.

After years of song and album releases, Sapphire had certainly made a name for herself. Booking party after party, red carpet after red carpet and so on and so on. She had become the house hold name for Queen of pop and queen of sass. She had loved every part of it! well… almost. She had found that it wasn’t just her that was effected by fame, but other ponies as well. Hundreds of thousands of ponies wishing to get close to her for one reason or another. Not because of her, but because of who she was. She had faced ponies in relationships she had thought were the pony for her, only to find out they were only there for money and the label they were given if they were beside her. It was… horrible. It felt like her guard was always up when it came to ponies. It was much harder to make friends than it was back in school.

Though, there was one mare that had caught her eye at a show that seemed to change that for her. A Pegasus as hot headed, if not more so, than her. They had met at one of the parties thrown for the Wonderbolts, a group that she had been relatively acquainted with and a group she had been known to show for before. But this mare was different. She knew how to hold her own in the group. And when she had approached her backstage with that same headstrong but soft attitude, Sapphire couldn’t help but fall into a conversation with the mare.

Spitfire was her one and only, and someone who shared in her grief when it came to fame and the name that came along with it. They were two ponies in a pod and were, of course, only going to grow from there. Especially with a new member to the family literally invading their home.

Soooooo, y’all want the wives? I’ll give ya the wives!!

So here’s Sapphire! Spitfire will come soon!

This was fun to think of, especially compared to Spitfire.

Sapphire doesn’t have as much content for her character but certainly brings your eye to her when she’s on screen! She’s very out there and I love it!

This is why I love the side characters. They have just enough to get you interested in them, whether that be because of content they have on screen, or their design or whatever, but you can take their character wherever!

I love the main characters, don’t get me wrong! but the side characters leave so much up for interpretation that it’s just fun to think of them one way or another!

So, here’s my take on the queen herself!
