I’m about 3 hours away before I’m whisked away on a plane to visit my older sister for about a week, so while I’ll have internet access and I’ll still be active, I won’t actually be able to scan anything for the duration of the trip (she doesn’t have a scanner). So, I’ve decided to throw this up before I head out; a little somethin’ somethin’ I did for the RariTwi Bodyguard!AU. :3

It’s another quick doodle showcasing the interaction of the Mane 6, this time of Pinkie Pie the traveling jester and Fluttershy the Jarl of Ponyville. I love this pairing; it’s really too cute for it’s own good and so much fun to draw. xD Yeah, but anyway, about these two:

The two met technically twice; the first time being after the performance Pinkie did for the Royal court and the second time in the streets of Ponyville. Pinkie’s reputation of being a legitimately fun and genuine jester (something that was uncommon among jesters) resulted in Rarity sending her a summons with a request that she perform both for the royal court and for a birthday ball (of sorts) for Fluttershy. Pinkie accepted, and both performances were a huge hit. Fluttershy in particular took a very fast liking for the bubbly mare, something unusual when concerning Fluttershy’s personality. Rarity suspected the pegasus fancied the smaller earth pony, but it was made pretty obvious upon their second (and official) meeting.

Pinkie had showed up in Ponyville to stock up on supplies, explore, and rest before heading out, but she had decided to do an impromptu performance in the middle of the town square (specifically for the foals). The spectacle was happened upon by Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy (both of whom were taking a stroll), and Fluttershy was so obvious in her staring and blush that even Rainbow could easily decipher her small crush on the pink mare. Having actually met and befriended Pinkie before while traveling, Rainbow officially introduced the two of them to one another after the performance before ultimately encouraging Fluttershy to mention why they were out strolling in the first place; to find Pinkie because Shy wanted to hire her as her personal jester. Pinkie accepted, and that was that. They’ve become close ever since then, so close that the two are sometimes rumored to be in love (hint hint: they are C:<)

This particular drawing simply has the two cuddling up to one another, with Pinkie giving Shy a kiss. I’d say the day started out a little stressful (having to deal with some impatient and greedy nobles), but being in Pinkie’s embrace easily melts that stress away.

Speaking of, HERE’S a fantastic prompt based off of the Bodyguard!verse that portrays Shy’s and Pinkie’s relationship rather well. I’d recommend giving it a read. :3
