I carved a small (about 5 centimeters high) soapstone figure of Octavia Melody with her cello. The dremel I got recently to engrave glass is very helpful with this and cut down the time it took to turn the raw rock into the figure (It still took a long time though). I made a little animation of pictures of the original rock via some development stages up to the final figure. Because these images were taken over an extended period of time I didn’t manage for them to have a background similar enough to make the animation good looking, but it gives an idea of the development from stone to sculpture.
