“I’m just telling you Glor- Midnight, you know your mother didn’t mean it.” Sunset murmured, eyeing the long bangs covering her daughter’s eyes.

Midnight sighed. “I’m sure she didn’t mom.”

“Of course she didn’t. She’s just worried about you, and wants you to be happy. It’s just because her version of “happy” is different from yours, that she’s acting this way, and telling you this stuff, you know?“

Midnight didn’t respond. Letting her think about what she just said, Sunset used her magic to pull back Midnight’s bangs behind her head in a messy bun. Rolling her eyes, Midnight just played with a loose strand of hair that fell in front of her face.

Sunset’s demeanor softened at the sight in front of her. “Every once in a while, you can let your guard down around us you know. It does seem like we get a little fussy over your choices and decisions, but besides all that, you know that we’re trying to understand, and we’ll support you in the end no matter what.

Midnight let the faintest smile fall on her face, and replied. “Thanks.”
