You sneak back towards the spire to find the source of the screaming. Really, at this point any distraction form the thought of this town never ending is a welcome one. Your attempt to stay as low key as possible is a failure however, as one of the red clouds that have been haunting you since you left the arena appears opaque in front of you.

You had your chance and you have proven to me that not only are you unfit for redemption, but you are also useless to me.

“Wha-What are you talking about?”

I gave you a short break from your eternal punishment in exchange for your services, you where also given the opportunity for redemption as part of our agreement, but I see now that no matter how many chances you are given you will never be anything more than an unclean soul.

You draw your sword as the entity begins to stretch it’s tendrils toward you. You begin to think a back on your life, all of the ponies you’ve killed, the deal you made with you former owner to make a spectacle out of killing more ponies in the arena. You begin to ask yourself if you enjoyed it. You choose not to answer yourself, out of fear that this might just be. No, you can’t be dead, you’re a survivor… right?

“This isn’t fair! I didn’t know! You can’t hold me responsible for something I don’t even remember!”

The world begins to tear apart around you. Slowly everything but you and this entity begins to be consumed by darkness. A feeling of dread begins to wash over you. Have you been lying to yourself?
