yet another part of my vampire story :D

“Oh no… Oh no… Oh no…” Applejack mumbled in horror looking at her friend’s body lying where one of the saplings was just few moments ago. “Ah didn’t want to… RD… I’m…”

“that…. hurts.” The blue pegasus gasped struggling to get on her legs.

“Are… are you OK?” The farmer asked stepping closer, “Ah really didn’t want to kick you so hard, but ya scared me out there and…”

Rainbow Dash tried to answer, but her mouth and nose were suddenly filled with blood… her blood. She spat and coughed it out, trying to take another breath only to have her lungs filled with blood again. Surprised she looked up at the earth pony only to see her green, terrified eyes looking at her side. Following that gaze she turned to inspect her body only to see a deep gushing wound left by a spiky piece of wood that used to be a young tree.

“Well, this is awkward.” Rainbow said trying to calm her friend down. “How could I missed that?”

“Who… what are ya?” Applejack asked stepping away from the pegasus

“What do you mean who am I? I’m Rainbow Dash, your friend!”

“But… your wound… it’s… healing… and you’re… this is… how can you even move?“

Rainbow Dash have never seen her friend so terrified. She could see her muscles shaking under her skin, she could hear her racing heart, blood rushing through her body…

She shook her head, dismissing the disturbing thought that invaded her mind

“Listen AJ, I’m ok… well, I will be ok…” She tried to explain, calming her voice as much as she could. “Just trust me on this.”

“Stay away from me!” Applejack shouted as she jumped back. “Ah don’t know what’s this about, but you ain’t mah RD, yer a monster!”

Despite the tough act Rainbow could feel how terrified her friend was and it broke her heart.

“AJ, listen…” she said again, taking a step towards the earth pony.

“No! leave me alone!“ The farmer jumped back again instincts taking over, she started to run. Run away from her friend… or what’s left of her. Run away to save herself, to warn others. This wasn’t Rainbow Dash. Red eyes, sharp teeth, not, it his was Rainbow dash, her Rainbow Dash… panic filled her mind. She has to warn the others.

Rainbow Dash just stood there. Looking at the shape of an earth pony fading into darkness between apple trees. She felt hollow, disgusted with herself for the first time since she opened here eyes since Twilight turned her.
