On the way back you feel like telling Max that you love him. But You’re not even sure that’s true and much less that it would be a good idea. You take a look at Max from the rear. He doesn’t notice. So you start doing some fake hoof to hoof moves while psyching yourself up by saying things like “I’m not adorable I’m a fearsome warrior.” Max looks back and chuckles. Finally, you find yourself singing a song that you remember from when you were younger. it’s not the same without Swiftwater playing her guitar but you like the song all the same.
Once you get back you ask Max how much experience he has with polearms, which you learn isn’t much. For training Max moves a dummy with his magic that Loom gave to Max upon your return. While fighting the dummy you realize that your hooves are vulnerable and that the shaft may be easily grabbed if you’re not careful. you also learn that you can bring the business end close quickly if you have an opponent get in close.
Eventuality you burn out the day and finish with a bowl of soup that you eat with Max.
