Description:
Emerald keeps his head low and looks out at the battle. He wants to make sure he catches any other suspicious activity before it happens. It seems the fight is starting to come to a close. The sailors are being pushed into a corner, and the skirmish is starting to turn into a few small duels here and there. Joyride turns her attention above, and starts firing spells into the air.
Emerald wonders why she is doing this until he realizes that there are a group of pegasi still fighting up there. Emerald recognizes two of them. One being the guy he played dice with, and the other being the scout he saw this morning.
Emerald starts to observe the fight below again, and as he does he notices a pony appear from a staircase on the other side of the fight. He glances around, and then suddenly darts into the air. It’s another pegasus.
Emerald quickly points it out to Joyride, and she glances at him and begins to fire shots, but between the rocking of the boat and the pegasi’s dexterity she seems unable to strike him. Emerald fires a magic missile of his own, but the winged pony is moving so fast the spell can’t catch up, and the missile dissipates into sparkly dust.
“Dang. Well, I did tell the captain I could stop any magical forms of communication.” Joyride says, looking down at the fight again, “Go back downstairs and see if anyone needs help. Looks like the fight is over. I’m going to the other ship to help with the clean-up.”
Joyride starts to walk off, and Emerald glances over at the other ship. The sailors who were backed up into the corner are laying prone with their hooves beside their heads. They have been disarmed, and their weapons lay in a small pile in front of them.
