THE BAT PACK

The Batman was preparing to fight a monster. Months of planning and resource gathering, seeking out new metahuman heroes that had no ties to anyone, not the Avengers, not to SHIELD or Cadmus, no one. Heroes who could actually combat this threat so that he would not have to drag his own Bat Family into a deeper hell than any they have faced before. He expected a hell he feels he himself, a mere human, might not be able to escape.

But when they finally tracked down their target, they did not find a monster, rather a human being who was forced into a life they never wanted. One who needed help, and as it stood the only one who could help this poor soul was Batman and his new team. So now the team assembled to combat a monster have a new mission – protect this cursed person from the world who still only see them as a monster, find the bastards responsible for this tragedy, and above all stand against the very Avengers now on the hunt. A war is coming, let the battle be joined….

SUPER AVENGERS

To Superman, being a god is no different than being a parent. The world itself and everyone in it, they are his children, his responsibility. Because of the power he wields he has to be the one to take care of them, nurture then, protect them, make sre they are happy……even if it is at his own expense. As such he has to do things he does not want to bring himself to do because it’s what the world wants. Right now there is a new, wild titan out there in the world that the very children of this world want him to seek and destroy….

It was President Luthor himself who gave the ultimatum, one that came about after an otherworldly being named Beerus descended upon high to destroy this world in the name of galactic balance. After the appearance of Beerus the message became clear – There was a new titan born of this planet that needed to die so the planet may live, if Superman did not step in and take matters into his hands the world was doomed to Beerus’ judgement.

And so here he is in a situation he does not want to be in. Forced to take temporary command of the greatest fighting force the world has ever known, the Avengers, not a single member of this group of battle hardened metahumans shares his doubt and are all too gung ho on condemning this new titan to death. Making things worse is his forced collaboration with the very unsympathetic god Beerus, all things considered he’d rather skin this cat god. And on top of all that, he now finds that his closest friend Bruce is now siding with the titan he’s suppose to hunt, as if that wasn’t enough there is also this Saiyan that he has learned looks up to him.

Even with the emotional support of his trainer and mentor Diana beside him keeping him from breaking down, it is still far too much. He has to condemn some titan who could be an innocent in a worser spot than he is, one of his closest friends is now one of the enemies he must now face, and he will have to fight someone who sees him as a hero. It is truly a tragedy through and through, but the lines have been drawn and the stakes are immeasurable, there is no going back. He has no choice but to act, whether or not he wants any part of it a war is still going to happen, all he can hope for is that his actions will indeed save the world. The hunt has begun, let the battle be joined….
