The giant ring rolled, clacking along as it rotated to a strange combination. There was a horrendous roar of noise as the walls of the Canterlot enclave vibrated like a trembling earthquake. Twilight frantically struck levers, spun dials and stomped buttons, all the while observing the giant metallic ring that was spinning like a slow dial.

“7TH CHEVRON!!!”, screamed Twilight over the noise. “GET READY LUNA!!!“

Luna firmed her stance, her voice a whisper over the torrent, “I AM READY TWILIGHT! THOUGH, I DO NOT KNOW FOR WHAT!?“

All of a sudden, the noise stopped.

A mighty wave sucked them forward toward the ring and as the ponies left the ground, a reverse, invisible current thrust them backward. All the ponies fell, with the exception of Princess Luna who pranced and skidded with elegance against the magical vortices.

Eddies and rivers of magical force continued upsetting the ponies trying to stand, but the effect was slowly subsiding, in the now eerily quiet room.

“Luna! Look!”, spoke Celestia.

Through the ring’s middle, an opaque silver surface had formed. It began to slowly fade to something translucent and bright in the distance. As moments passed, not a sound could be heard. In the middle of the large ring a strange silhouette began to coalesce.

“What’s that?”, queried a pony.

“It looks like it’s moving?”, said another. The curious, blurry silhouette became clearer against the luminescence smudges.

Seconds ticked by.

The silver ring’s middle drained and dripped away its silvery colour.

Princess Celestia rubbed a hoof along her chin, she spoke quietly to herself, “I think,,, I think I know what this is…“

Celestia grinned and nodded, “Luna, stand up tall! Look proud!“

Luna shot a glance back at her sister, who pointed back at the mirror.

“First impressions always count Luna.”, spoke Celestia with a grand smile.

“Is tha-… Is that?..”, said Bonbon nudging Lyra Heartstrings. Lyra’s eyes swelled at the eclipsing silhouette and radiant light in front of them.

“Best behaviour now Luna.”, said a motherly Celestia.

Luna peered into the clearing silver wall, she wondered to herself, ‘it was indeed a tall creature standing, moving about casually, doing something, in a bath room perhaps?’. As the silver colours depleted, Luna could make out pinky and yellow tones in what appeared to be a white tiled, foggy room.

The creature in front leaned over to the right, picking up a short grey object.

All the ponies stood in wonderment as the final shades of silver drained away from the central ring.

That was until

The creature in the mirror-like gate burst through the entrance, on long upright limbs it leapt over precipice and jumped directly into the enclave. Ponies gasped in awe.

The creature, spying Luna’s moon imprinted bid, lunged for her. Luna wishing to appear courteous offered to say a greeting, “Hel-.” In that moment, a tuft of her hair was grasped and wrenched. She felt the creature leap onto her back which caused her to rear backward onto her hind legs. All of a sudden she heard loud bangs at her ear and the yelling voice of her new friend. “RIDE YOU SLUT! RIDE!!!”

Luna smiled in glee, her new friend felt silkily-soft and powdery warm despite the yelling and confusion.

Luna continued to rear up thrusting her legs forward in a display of happy delight. Time seemed to slow for her. Tears began to trickle as stars and light shone brightly about her, My very own, new friend., thought Luna. The Princess giddily posed ensuring she kicked her legs high, whinnying her delight to her fellow ponies…

Lyra and Bonbon legs wobbled at the majestic site, “It’s… It’s…Its a REAL HUMAN!!! On LUNA!!!!!!!!, they spoke in unison. THATS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!

Luna radiant, glistening like diamonds, leapt mightily from the platform and stairs. She stamped her hoof proudly, Look at me it commanded without words. Her hair gleaming, shone like fountains and rivers of light. For one magical moment she seemed brighter than a moon and more radiant than any sun. Celestia knelt in a bow and all the other ponies did the same. Luna nodded back.

After a pause she felt the sharp wrench at the back of her hair and the issuing command of YAH!!!. Luna, streaming of glowing stars and rain drops of light, bolted for the Canterlot door exit, taking her wondrous and confused new friend to wherever she wished to go.
