The Canterlot Wedding scenario went down a little differently this time it seems. Rather than plan an invasion at the time of the Wedding, Chrysalis waited until she could seize power on her own. Dealing with Cadence and Shining Armour the night before the ceremony, she has another changeling stand in as the groom on the day of. However she is still found out by the meddling Twilight but, with no power of love to stop her, Chrysalis overpowers the Elements and Celestia. The Elements of Harmony subdued Chrysalis gets to enjoy her victory at her Coronation with a very special meal. One that disposes of the prior monarch and her merry little band of guardians. Despite their chitinous appearance it seems that changelings are actually quite stretchy! Once the new queen is done with her current meal, she’ll dispose of the now corroded Elements and go to deal with the remaining Princess who was overpowered while she slept through the day.

And with that, Equestria fell to the Changeling hoards. Any who resist are brought before the queen so that they can join the Princesses they so loyally follow.
