So I’ve been writing a story, but most of you already know. It’s a S.T.A.L.K.E.R./FIM crossover, something really rare actually.

And suddenly I felt like drawing. So here we are, Celestia and <del>it’s supposed to be Strider</del> a stalker, though nothing really shows he’s a stalker and not some military grunt. Maybe the unusual attire. Why the cuddling? I felt like it. I know the armor makes him look bulky (meaning: the scale is fucked up). I drew this on printer paper (can’t really afford anything else) with a simple HB mechanical pencil.

Time spent: maybe more than 4 hours. Strider’s face has been a pain to render correctly.

The title is kind of a triple pun: ‘Eastern Comfort’ is a saying meaning ‘Cheap and Cheerful’ AND made in the Russia/eastern block ; ‘Southern Comfort’ is a fan written S.T.A.L.K.E.R. novel; and well, Ukraine (where the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games take place, more precisely in the Chernobyl exclusion Zone) is in eastern Europe.
