This had to be some kind of bad dream, some horrible nightmare. I’d never seen Princess Celestia unhappy enough to have anything more than a scowl on her face, in all the years I’d been her student. Now she was downright furious, absolutely enraged, and it was directed squarely at me. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t speak, it was terrifying.

She didn’t say a word, we both knew what I’d done wrong. She just towered over me and glared, teeth bared and visibly trembling like she was struggling to contain herself. Yet there was still this sense of building pressure, and that terrified me the most, I thought I was going to die.
