Her new name is now Neoma Artemis, Still same personality/backstory, just a different look yknow. I also wanted to redraw this piece because of her new look along with the fact that the old info was too rushed n such sooo heres a updated one!

First and foremost, Princess Neoma was a huge surprise to Luna, even more of a shock than anything. In fact, Princess Luna's biggest fear was falling pregnant and raising a foal of her own. Why? overthinking,stress,her past,failure & disappointment and a whoooollleee lot more. So you can probably take a guess as to how she reacted to her unexpected pregnancy.

Instead of telling the world about her pregnancy, she hid it from everypony, including her partner, King Sombra (who she was also secretly dating at the time). She was petrified as to what ponies would think of a royal pregnancy, specifically her pregnancy, everyone looks up to her,including her older sister. Imagine how'd they react to her expecting a foal from the most hated villan of all,a pony that brought trama and torture to thousands of ponies she should be protecting from. She would disappoint everyone yet again, so, her choices were limited. Sure, she could've set the foal up for adoption, but something in her felt distraught about that, so, she decided to keep the foal. No doctor appointments were made, no check ins, no strict diets or care, nothing, she acted as if nothing was going on,when it really was. How bad could've that been,right?.....

right?

Probably one of the worst,most horrible ideas in all of Equestria,EVER. Pregnancy is already as tough as it is, but a Alicorn Pregnancy? Gosh where to even begin. Luna's pregnancy was torture, from start to finish. Sure it would've been easier if she asked Sombra for help, but heck, she decided that keeping a foal all to herself due to her overthining nature was a good idea, she later regretted it a TON afterwards, as any pony would. Yet, despite being in a ton of pain, she pushed through without any help from anyone her whole pregnancy, nobody was ever suspicious of anything. The end result? A small healthy pegasus filly she decided to name Neoma Artemis, or just Neoma for short.

And no, she didn't go to a hospital to have her foal, long story short, Neoma came a little earlier than Luna calculated, and she ended up giving birth to her on the bathroom floor all night till dawn. Thats when Tia' found out she was gonna be a Auntie, when she suddenly heard the loud high-pitched cries of a distressed foal. She was more worried than anything, however her sisters secret behavior wasn't a surprise to her, she was just relieved her little sister was healthy along with her new niece : ) As for Sombra? Well he risked his whole life coming out of hiding to see his daughter for the first and last time, before being caught and imprisioned for the rest of his life. Luna was forever ashamed of going on her way to conceive a child with a pony with such hatred and fear,so? She never ever talked about Sombra, not around Neoma that is, it was forbidden,for a good reason.

Luna's anxiety got even worse as Neoma grew up, constantly stressed that she was never a good enough mother n such, luckily, Celestia, Twilight & Cadence were always there to help her and her tiny little foal : ) at times even taking Neoma to lil playdates with her favorite Aunties.
