The future comes whether you are ready for it or not, and change is the only constant. Fahamka knows this well, and though she would have been content as a humble desert preacher, the future had other ideas. Now she who once was called a heretic, a mad witch and a traitor is called great teacher, matriarch, and saviour. She pays this praise as little heed as the insults once thrown her way though, and seeks only to continue to guide and teach as she always has.

Biography: Fahamka's past is an enigma. To the people of Hyenia, she came out of the desert some fifty years ago to preach her creed of asceticism and self-improvement on the streets of Qalbi Weyn. Rapidly developing a reputation not only for her outspoken criticism of the nobility and her incisive philosophy, but also her martial skills as she led a full company of royal guards on a merry chase over the rooftops of the capitol. In time, her following grew, but so did the persecution. Choosing to retreat into the Zebhara rather than stand and fight, Fahamka settled in Ciidacirood, deep in the desert. Here, she formalised her teachings, creating the sacred texts of the Qaylid and organised her followers into the Qaylidi Dervishes which would become a thorn in the Queendom's side up until the Storm King's invasion.
Though she only ever has desired to be someone who helped other hyenas reach their true potential and free them from the shackles of greed and tyranny, Fahamka realised that if she did not take up the role of Hyenia's defender, nobody would, and she reluctantly organised her followers to fight the yetis after the invasion. She watches how her ranks have swelled with concern, well aware that many of her disciples - even great and successful ones like Furasho - have simply not had the time necessary to truly understand the Qaylid, and that even if they win, she may have gambled away the dervishes' future.
Yet, when her times finally comes, the Great Teacher knows that she has done all she could. Time will decide if it was enough.
