It was a dark night. Out of nowhere, Delly woke up, alone in the room, but something was off. She felt... Weird. Dazed, and confused. Disoriented. Smelling something like a hospital disinfectant. But despite the weird state of mine she was in, her body told her one very clearly -

She needed to pee.

Getting up - She went ahead to relieve said need - Is how things would have gone any other night. But not this one. No. Tonight, when she tried getting up, she barely moved. Her whole body feeling like it had lost all its strength. Even just lifting a leg was a challenge.

Okay, if she wouldn't get up in bed, then she'd just roll around, out of bed, and onto her hooves!

- A mistake.

She did manage to roll around, but she barely got her full weight on her legs before they buckled, sending her sprawling down, onto the cold hard floor, while her head barely missed the bedside table.

On one hoof, the ground felt nicely cool against her hot, sweaty body. On the other, she now had a whole different level of a problem.

She gave herself a moment to gather home of her strength back, when she suddenly noticed one uncomfortable little detail - She.. Wouldn't need to go to the toilet anymore.

Biting down the growing feeling of shame, along with the tears that were now gathering in the corners of her eyes, she instead refocused on the most important issue now - Getting back onto the bed.

Under any other circumstances, a bed was just a soft cushion of happiness, to rest in, read in, and even cuddle in; but not now. Now, it felt like a mountain. And one that she had to scale, while completely alone and barely able to move.

It took a while - How long exactly, she didn't know, time was completely impossible to track right then, but she somehow managed. Rolling towards the bed first... Then grabbing onto the mattress, heaving herself onto it, and finally slipping her rear legs underneath, to lift her slowly up, and onto it.

Its softness provided at least some relief. But... It also allowed Delly to nice all that felt wrong with her body. She was drenched, in more than one kind of liquid... Her heart was thundering in her chest, she was panting for breath, she was drooling, and perhaps most alarmingly, she also felt the telltale taste of copper in her mouth. Why, she didn't yet know, but she was also incredibly, unimaginably, tired. Perhaps the most tired she has ever been in her life.

So despite all of the wrong... She forced herself to close her eyes and sleep was quick to find her - Hopefully, it had all been just a particularly vivid, bad dream, only...

It hadn't.

Delly just lived through something, that'd forever change her life.

She just had her first epileptic seizure.

Please don't hold me to any sort of artistic standards. I'm not a writer. Hay, English isn't even my first language. But I felt an image as important and close to me as this, needed a few words, to fill in the gaps that the lines weren't able to catch.

What you read above, is a real retelling, of one of my first epileptic seizures - Events that had, indeed, forever changed my life.

It has only been 7 years, but since those days, a lot of my life has been changed... Mostly for the worse.

I'm so sorry Delly that I've made you go through this...
