Description:
So, the first one of the Xmas drawings I sketched up, and I just didn't like it. I was going to try the pose again, but after a bit, I came back around to it and didn't hate it anymore.
The hind legs aren't the best, and I feel the it should be a bit more dynamic, with her head and chest a little more away from the camera / smaller, and her back end a little more present. Her tail is also a bit small and the wings were honestly a bit of an after thought.
But I inked it and liked it enough to color it. Here, I think it ended up really well, with the transparency of her mane, and the garland (?) around her neck turned out well. I was happy with how the garland came out. I ha da thought it would work, but I've had issues with the the pen scratching though what I already put down instead of adding to it, but it worked like I wanted it to.
Really getting used to adding things over the top of the markers and inking and it's turning out well.
Fun fact, I forgot I named last year's drawing of Luna in an Xmas outfit "X-mas at Night" and didn't realize it until I was done with the piece and started to process it through Photoshop.
