Yea, wanted to show Dagi a bit o' luv.

With the exception of the Azula drawing (which ended up being part of a series/group piece anyway), I’ve not really done a solo piece with Adagio before. I guess you could say, in my mind, the three Sirens are kind of a package deal... But I then thought back to the times I had given Sonata the spotlight in her own solo pieces (I just flat out like Sonata the best out of all three), and barring that in mind, it seemed behooving of me to finally give one of her sisters the much deserved limelight she deserves!

So here she is; Leader of the Dazzlings. Snake-like, cunning, hungry for your groveling, your adoration and your festering hatred, as it all serves to intrinsically make her all the more powerful... Oops. It appears as if you've fallen under her spell. The pitiful fool you are. You're doomed.~

Rather than decide to choose between her first appearance outfit (which I've drawn her in before), and her ‘Sunset’s Backstage Pass’ outfit, I went ahead and combined the two fits for her ensemble!; The purple romper, fingerless gloves and amulet choker are retained from her ‘Rainbow Rocks’ appearance, and basically everything else (studded bracelets, crescent moon belt, spiked hairband, studded boots and sickass leather jacket) originate from her ‘Backstage Pass’ appearance. For her overall portrayal and attitude, I wanted to give off the impression that she's "still evil”. Sorta goes without saying, but much like with Juniper, villainous Adagio has left much more of an impression on me than reformed Adagio did (not that I dislike reformed Dagi tho, she's great and actually quite humorous).

I went through a few iterations of her expression. I wanted to convey something that effectively bridged the gap between “sexy mamita” and “the last thing you see before you freaking die”. In the end, I settled on "jagged sinister grin", as I felt it got the message across well enough (plus I just really warmed up to the idea of Dagi popping a snaggle-toof x3).

Had fun with this one, and about time I got to draw this character again! Celebrate 'Friendship Games' 10th? Nah, I'm still glazing 'Rainbow Rocks' man XD. I guess now that 2 out of the 3 Dazzlings now have at least one proper solo piece, we'll see if I let the remainder of the trifecta share in the same luxury...
