Discord was stretched out on the living room floor of the cottage. Periodically he'd glance over at the kitchen where an army of animated kitchen implements were floating around and preparing dinner for him and Fluttershy.
His wife was out at the moment running some errands and picking up something she'd ordered. The pegasus mare hadn't said what it was that she was picking up, but she'd giggled and said he'd like. Since Fluttershy so far had been pretty good at guessing what he liked and disliked draconequus didn't doubt her statement.
The last of the potatoes for the Potatoes Anna had just been sliced and Discord was now washing the potato slices in a bowl of cold water by casually waving his left hand/paw in the air like some lazy conductor. At the same time he continued focus on levitating pieces of broken glass into the air as he assembled a bottle around a floating model of a sailing ship.
He'd just placed the last piece of glass in place when a brilliant flash of light heralded the arrival of his wife. Fluttershy still preferred to often walk or fly when travelling, but the mare had recently admitted that were advantages at times to use the chaos magic her husband had given her as a wedding gift to effectively teleport around the world and off it occasionally. Without taking his eyes of his recently finish project he spoke.
"Hello Flutters. Welcome home. I just started dinner and it should be....." His voice tapered off as looked up at his wife who was wearing something very different from what she'd left the cottage. It was glistening black outfit that had large areas that were made up of a elastic, fishnet type material that gently squeezed her body in interesting ways. He looked up at her and grinned.
"Now. That's a new look for you dear. What's the occasion?"
His wife looked down at him as she placed her left hand on her hip. "Oh! Um! As you know I joined The Knot that Binds Society last year. Uh, Miss Petina is the local chapter president. Well, um every year around this time they have an event, uh in Canterlot. It's um, uh, a combination of social gathering and, uh well awards ceromony!"
The yellow chiffon mare removed her signature coiled 12ft bullwhip from the belt around her waist and smiled. "Well, based on the growing success of my Obedience and Training School
She looked down at her outfit. "Since it was such an important occasion I uh, thought I should wear something special for the evening. So I asked Rarity and Miss Petina to come with something that was. Well. Different. And, well, I figured you might like it to."
She grinned at her husband. "Well? Do you like it?"
