It's been three and a half years since Twilight first found true friendship at CHS, and now, as a young woman at the local college, she's finding that new connections can form even among the friends you know.
With Rainbow Dash having moved away to pursue an athletic scholarship, Scoot found herself without somebody "awesome" to look up to in her life. As luck would have it though, in assisting Twilight with an experiment one afternoon - which proceeded to go horribly right - Scoot found a that new "awesome someone", and Twilight found a lab assistant who's enthusiastic energy would always keep science fun.
Twilight and Scoot's friendship became a lot stronger from then on.

Now, in the dead of night one chilly October morning, Twilight is eagerly showing off her latest experiment to Scoot and Spike; a bizarrely modified 80s sports car...which just vanished in a flash of light, leaving nothing but fire trails and a spinning license plate behind.
And wasn't Spike in that car, too!?

Uploading this now while I still technically have chance to submit for the event. I really wanted to put a lot more effort into this, but I just didn't have the time, so y'all will just have to endure the WIP version for now. Sci-Twi and Scoot are basically done, but the fire trails and entire background need a lot of work - both were kind of half-assed just to put this in a worthwhile state to upload; however, it weirdly all came out better than I thought it would at this stage. Also, of course, I want to vectorize it when I do finish it.

When it is done though, my plan I guess is to have three versions. One will be humanized colors like I'd prefer, a second will be canon EQG colors, and the third will be a hybrid like this one.

Also I wanna write a fic on this at some point. Upper description is a tiny condensed sliver of that.
