Now, this pony here, Idylia Daydream, is halfway between a petty high school bully and a full-on villain. She worked for one, at least - the Temptress, who wanted to reduce Equestria to a bunch of pleasure-seeking degenerates. Why would somepony willingly work for something so maddeningly evil? Well... she was promised power. That's it. Idylia's that simple. And she was promised power if she gathered information on Innocent Sun. So, she went to Ponyville and challenged Sun to a magic duel, otherwise she'd come to Sun in the School of Friendship and shove her in a locker when she least expects it. Is that annoying or terrifying? Imagine having to look over your shoulder every school day because somepony who lives halfway across Equestria plans to randomly show up and shove you into a locker. What was I saying? Oh yeah, the magic duel. Idylia "lost" - she purposefully gave it up once she learned what she wanted: that Sun knows dark magic. She returned to the Temptress to inform her... and she hadn't been seen since. Some say she died on her way back to the Crystal Empire, somehow having ended up frozen to death in the snow just outside. Those people believe random unexplained, unexpected chilling breezes in the Crystal Empire to be the work of her somber spirit.
